According to a study conducted by the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, rural areas have the fewest options for individual health insurance plans and pay the highest premiums. The study was conducted to evaluate various ways in which members of society are experiencing health care financial pressures that will likely increase even further due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
