If there were ever a time to get a flu vaccine, 2020 is certainly the year to do so. Paired with the dangers of COVID-19, influenza poses a new type of threat, especially to those who are categorized as “high-risk.”

There are several precautions we are familiar with taking, such as social distancing and wearing masks, but receiving your flu vaccine will serve as the best defense against contracting influenza and will keep your immune system strong to fend off the possibility of a COVID-19 contraction. There is a possibility of contracting both COVID-19 and influenza simultaneously, so it is important that you protect yourself in all ways possible.
